Position requires a detail-oriented, thorough and organised Financial Assistant to join the team. This position is essential in supporting the Financial Manager, to ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and assisting with various administrative tasks that contribute to the smooth functioning of the finance department.
Duties:
Under the guidance of the Financial Manager, the duties will consist of the following:
Clear understanding of General Ledger Accounts, Balance Sheet and Income statement reconciliations
Assist in the preparation of management accounts, reports, and budgets
Support the accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoices processing and payment tracking
Conduct data entry and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with company policies
Assist in the reconciliation of bank statements and financial discrepancies
Help with Payroll processing and maintain employee financial records
Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processe3s and improve reporting accuracy
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Provide general administrative support to the finance department, including filing documents, managing correspondence and assisting with routine financial taska.
Stay updated on changes in financial regulations that may affect the organisation, accounting standards, and best practices
Implement financial control measures and company processes that affect the company's regulatory obligations
Attend training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
Assist with statutory requirements, calculations and submissions.
Understanding financial transactions relating to Stock Control and performing stock control measurements
