We are looking for a pleasant and competitive Sales Promoter that thrives in attracting new customers. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious new customer and revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable making dozens of product/services presentations, generating interest and qualifying sales prospects.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrate and provide information on products/services

Create a positive image and lead customers/consumers to use it

Engage in market research in order to identify new opportunities for business

Develop comprehensive knowledge about the business and its development practices, its marketing activities, prospective clients, and the trends for the industry

Supervise database of customer relationship management and utilize the result to manage customers and the mailing lists

Support the project team with quotations and technical advice

Grade 12, BCom in Marketing degree will be an advantage

Proven track record as an experienced Promoter or similar position for at least 5 years

Extensive industry related knowledge - pumps and pumping systems, etc

Networking skills: He/she should have the ability to build and maintain relationships and contacts in and outside the company

Must possess a good business sense

Ability to work under pressure and still meet up with given deadlines

Possess effective communication skills to interact with diverse groups of people both in writing and in speaking without getting misunderstood

Must have an extroverted, confident & pleasant character

Must be flexible and able multi task on the job

Ability to constantly generate new ideas for the company’s advancement and success

Planning skills: The officer should have the ability to plan for a project and follow it up to its completion

He/she must be willing and able to pay attention to details

Willing to travel extensively - Available on Saturdays and out of normal business hours

IT/ computer skills: He/she must be able to use the computer and similar gadgets

Language skills: Well-spoken in Afrikaans and English

Technical skills: High

EB driver’s license. Code 10 or higher will be an advantage
